Work schedules and task priorities always use the same handful of terms. Know them well so you never misread a roster or misjudge what to do first.

Reading the Clock
Hotels usually run schedules on the 24-hour clock. A few common ways to say the time:

| Quarter past eight | Jam delapan lewat lima belas menit |
| Half past two | Jam setengah tiga |
| Quarter to five | Jam lima kurang lima belas menit |
| 14:00 (hotel schedule) | Jam dua siang |
