Shift Handover Vocabulary for Manufacturing Workers

At every shift change, the incoming worker needs to know what happened during the previous shift — whether there were any problems, or everything ran smoothly. This process is called a "handover," and there's a specific set of vocabulary that always comes up at that moment. This vocabulary covers the terms and phrases used for a shift handover.
Basic Handover Words
- handover — the process of passing information from one shift to the next.
- shift report — a written summary of what happened during a shift.
- log — a record of events or data from a shift.
- status — the current condition of a task or machine.

- "Anything to report?"
- "Everything's fine."

- pass on — "Pass on this information to the next shift."
